Heighdee Young, a mom of three living in Kaysville, UT, has always taken a “kids first” approach to motherhood. Since she was 19 years old, Heighdee has been changing diapers, wiping noses, and steering clear of any and all conversations about dinosaurs with her little angels. It’s this unconditional love and care that makes Heighdee such a great mother, and also so staunchly against the legalization of medical marijuana in her state.

“It’s all about the children,” explains Heighdee. “We know that the average terrible human will blaze up a marijuana at the drop of a hat when it’s presented to him, but children don’t deserve to be polluted by the legalization of immoral substances. It’s very obvious that teenagers will get their hands on marijuana if it becomes legalized for medical use, and I’m just not OK with that. I don’t want my home state to spiral into moral decline.”

Heighdee, whose three guns are locked in a safe with the same combination as the iPad her kids use, views marijuana legalization as one of the “very clear signs that the world is getting worse”.
